Return To Jurassic Park DLC

Frontier’s latest DLC Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park will be released on 10 December. Return to Jurassic Park is inspired by the 1993 Jurassic Park film. The DLC will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

You’ll need a copy of Jurassic World Evolution in order to play the DLC. Return to Jurassic Park (as the name suggests) follows on from the events of the Jurassic Park film. Features include park designs, dinosaurs, and characters as well as 7 new story missions.

Return to Jurassic Park Features

Jurassic Park fans will be pleased to know the following characters will be voiced by the original cast:

  • Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill)
  • Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern)
  • Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum)

In even more exciting news, players can replay the Jurassic World Evolution challenges. This includes sandbox levels where you’ll recognise some 1993 inspired features.

The main update for me is the new customisation options, new paths, new scenery items, and new signs.

These specific new features finally take it in the direction I have been waiting so long for. The same direction as Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster, with the ability to really personalise your park.

Although it’s not quite there yet, this is definitely the first step towards a much more customisable experience.

Return to Jurassic Park new features:

  • New paths: There are now new paths to choose from, making it easier to customise different areas of your park
  • Themed Buildings: Buildings have been reskinned to look like the original 1993 Jurassic park movie
  • Road Signs: There are now various signposts you can place around the park, including the iconic east dock signpost
  • Dinosaur signs: You can now place signposts outside enclosures so that guests know what they’re about to see
  • Era Skins: Dinosaurs will now have skins to match the movies, check out their genome to see skin and you will see 1993 or 1997 etc
  • Aviary: The only thing scarier than a dinosaur is a dinosaur with wings, thankfully you can now build an aviary to put them in
  • Raptor Pen: Another nice addition to match the original movie, in fact when starting the campaign the pen is left in the same state as it was by the end of the movie
  • New Map: Isla Nublar the map from the movie will, of course, be added in order for us to return to it
  • New campaign: It’s not just new dinosaurs and building that have been added, there is also a whole new campaign to complete
  • New Missions: Obviously since they have added a new campaign, it would only make sense that there are new missions to complete
  • Toilet: Don’t let your lawyer use the toilets, the last one that really needed to go didn’t make it! The DLC contains the same toilet that the lawyer was killed in
  • Path Lighting: Help your visitors see better at night with new buildable path lighting
  • DNA man: Remember that animated DNA strain that guided us through the tour in Jurassic Park, he is back in the research center
  • Trees & Rocks: Place trees and rocks individually allowing you more freedom than before. Includes new tree skins such as redwood trees
  • Ranger Danger: Rangers will need to keep their distance or use flares to make sure dinosaurs don’t attack (Included in free update 1.12)
  • Guest Toilet needs: Guests will need to use the toilet with free update 1.12
